A few weeks ago I realized that I was going to need some thank you cards ready to fill out and send when we received baby gifts for Oliver. I wanted them to be easy to reach for and easy to pack up in a small bag with a pen and some stamps for the hospital stay as well. Overnightprints.com kept popping into my head and I knew that they did postcard sized prints which was exactly what I wanted.
I whipped up the invites in Photoshop pretty quickly. I went with the phrase "the days are long but the years are short so let them be little" and did a repeating script pattern. I had some watercolor files saved to my computer (and I am desperately trying to find a source for them because they are great!) that were the perfect color so I quickly added those to the front and then added the word Thank You in white. For the back I kept it really simple and added a curvy line, repeated the watercolor design and then added three lines for the address. I uploaded them to the overnight prints website and had them in my hand about 5 days later. Easy peasey, exactly what I need right now. The quality of the cards is excellent and I love that I have something to easily grab for when we receive a baby gift.
I am toying with the idea of creating a more generic thank you postcard to have on hand for birthday gifts, random acts of kindness, etc.
