dear summer 2014, Where did you go so fast? I feel like you just showed up and now you are gone. You have been so good to us this year. Even though I didn't accomplish everything that I had planned to in the short months that I had with you I can't help but look back and smile at all of the things that I did accomplish. Thank you for being mild enough that I could take my girls to the zoo and enjoy it. Thank you for just enough rain that our grass stayed green and just enough sunshine that we still got a healthy glow. Thank you for letting me see Eleanor go from crawling to running and switch from being a baby to a cute little person with tons of personality. Thank you for letting me experience so many new and exciting things through the eyes of Adelne. Thank you for helping me re-discover the awesomeness of digging rocks out of the dirt and the magic of running through a water sprinker. Thank you for being the time that we finished our backyard and created a place that we could sit and talk and enjoy the patio lights around the fire pit eating s'mores. Thank you for being the greatest season for camping and swimming in the lake and riding behind the boat in a tube. Thank you for late nights outside around the campfire and long walks around the neighborhood discussing future hope and dreams. Summer you may have been short but you were oh so good. See you again next year!
